The condition can happen in any part of the urinary system– kidneys, ureters, bladder & urethra. When UTI affects the upper urinary tract, it is known as kidney infection (pyelonephritis); when it affects the lower urinary tract, it is known as a bladder infection (cystitis) & when it affects the urethra, it is known as urethritis. Frequently Asked Questions

Urinary tract infections cause burning urination, a frequent urge to urinate, and lower abdominal discomfort, usually due to bacterial infection.

Ayurveda approaches UTI by addressing the root cause through herbal medicines, therapies, and lifestyle correction rather than only relieving symptoms, which is why many patients experience lasting improvement rather than temporary relief.

Most patients begin noticing visible improvement within 4 to 8 weeks, though the exact duration depends on the severity and how long the condition has been present; chronic cases may need a longer course of treatment.

Yes, when prescribed by a qualified ayurvedic physician, the herbal formulations used for UTI are natural and generally free of the harsh side effects associated with long-term use of conventional medicines.
