Our life turns upside-down especially when such pain develops in the neck, shoulder, low back, knee or heel. We either become completely dependent on pain-killers or conclude that there is no other option but surgery. No matter how severe the issue might seem to be, one should not lose hope. Nature’s power is limitless and through proper treatment it is possible to get rid of the pain and enjoy the rhythm of life again.

What is Osteoarthritis?

Osteoarthritis is the most prevalent chronic disorder involving the joints. It is also called a degenerative joint disease, as it is often caused by the wear and tear on a joint over a lifetime. It occurs when the cartilage that cushions the ends of bones in your joints gradually deteriorates. However, with progression of age and extensive use of joints, often with wrong postures or burdened with obesity, the cartilage gets damaged and starts to wear away completely. As a consequence, the bone gets unprotected, and it causes extremely painful joints. Although most commonly seen in the elderly, Osteoarthritis can take hold of the human body at any age. Staying active, maintaining a healthy weight and proper treatment might improve joint function and lower the risk of osteoarthritis.
