What is Lumbar Spondylosis?

Lumbar Spondylosis is a common painful condition that can occur anywhere in the lower spine or back. Various complex structures comprising muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones and discs make up the human back. These components work together to support and promote bodily movements. Damage to any of these structures can lead to back pain. Pain in the upper back may be due to disorders of the aorta, tumours in the chest or spinal inflammation. With age, spinal discs start losing moisture and shrink. As a result, bone spurs develop and it gets weaker. These changes in the spinal discs and vertebrae are often called as degenerative disc disease. Generally, the symptoms of Lumbar Spondylosis may vary from mild to severe. The disorder is usually triggered by poor posture, incorrect lifting and putting excessive strain.
