What is Cervical Spondylosis?

Cervical Spondylosis is a condition that refers to age-related wear and tear of the spinal discs in the neck. It is commonly known as arthritis of the neck. In Cervical Spondylosis, the bones in spine and discs get degenerated in the neck and this can lead to serious problems like herniated discs and bone spurs. Changes in the spine can cause the spinal cord or the nerve roots to become compressed and it can lead to weakness or clumsy movements of hands and neck. The disorder is usually not a result of any serious underlying issue but due to constant straining and overuse. Although most commonly seen in the elderly, Cervical Spondylosis can affect individuals at any age.

This can only provide temporary solutions to the symptoms and on the other hand, it can also cause serious side-effects. As a result, the condition can even become chronic and longstanding.
