Bronchitis

naturoveda.com

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes, which carry air to and from the lungs. People with Bronchitis often cough incessantly and may even cough up thickened and discoloured mucus. Bronchitis may be either acute or chronic. Although a single episode of Bronchitis usually is not a cause for concern, it can lead to Pneumonia in some people. Repeated bouts of Bronchitis may indicate Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Therefore we need to be aware of the problem and its natural solution.
For both Acute and Chronic Bronchitis, common signs and symptoms include – a nagging cough, production of mucus (sputum) which can be clear or green in colour and even streaked with blood, fatigue, shortness of breath or respiratory distress, slight fever or chills and chest discomfort. Other symptoms include: sore throat, wheezing, a running nose, nasal congestion, pleurisy and body ache. In case of Chronic Bronchitis, you are likely to have periods when your signs and symptoms worsen – leading to an acute attack.
Acute Bronchitis is usually caused by viruses that cause colds and Influenza. For Chronic Bronchitis, the most common cause is smoking cigarettes. People who smoke or who live with a smoker are at higher risk of both types of Bronchitis. Air pollution and dust or toxic gases in the environment or workplace can also contribute to the condition. Low resistance due to some other illness may also increase the risk of Bronchitis. Older adults, infants and young children have greater vulnerability to infection due to a compromised immune system. The risk of developing Bronchitis is also greater if one’s job involves lung irritants, such as grains, textiles or exposure to chemical fumes. In addition, gastric reflux or repeated bouts of severe heartburn can irritate the upper bronchial tube and make one more prone to developing Bronchitis. Nowadays, most treatments address acute flare-ups, but ignore chronic or longstanding issues. Overuse of expensive medicines available in the market can lead to serious side effects. However, effective solution has been achieved through Fundamentals of Ayurveda, Unani and Therapeutic Yoga which is completely safe and natural. 'Naturoveda Health World' successfully employs the unique combination of these three systems to provide long-lasting results without any adverse effect.
