Lead A Disease-Free Long Life By Following These 3 Simple And 2 Secret Tips!!

1. Eat sensibly – A balanced diet includes incorporation of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals in their required quantities. Healthy eating means finding the right food and eating them in the right amount. If you are a non-vegetarian, take fish in good quantity, chicken in moderation and avoid red meat. Vegetarians can get their protein intake by consuming soyabeans, lentils, paneer, mushroom, etc. Eat lots of vegetables and fruits. This would ensure proper nutritional balance along with healthy digestion. It is better to avoid the intake of spicy, oily and junk food. Replace sugar with honey. Take green tea in place of milk tea. Avoid intake of salt as much as you can.

 

2. Exercise regularly – 15 minutes of walk early in the morning not only activates your body for a hectic day but also provides adequate Vitamin D. Sufficient amount of Vitamin D is beneficial in reducing the risk of developing bone abnormalities, immune disorders and heart disease. 2 minutes of walking every hour is highly recommended for healthy living. This lowers the risk of premature death by 33%, as affirmed by the U.S. National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 2015. Do 30 minutes of exercise at a stretch every day. This helps to bring down blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol, relieve stress and prevent many diseases. Exercising at a stretch boosts endorphin secretion, which creates a sense of well-being. Keep in mind, not to miss a chance of physical activity throughout the day, whenever possible.

 

3. Live happily – Excessive stress can harm your health and hasten ageing process, say neuroscientists of the National Institute on Aging. Getting minimum 7 hours of sleep is an effective way to abate stress and tackle daily life routine better. Do 3 minutes of deep breathing every 3 hours. According to eminent psychologists, deep breathing counters stress by slowing the heart rate and lowering blood pressure. By leading a happy & stress-free life, a number of diseases can be avoided thus resulting in a longer life-span.

 

4. Drink tactfully – The importance of adequate water intake is known to all but few are aware that if water is consumed tactfully, it can bring about dramatic changes in life. Begin your day by drinking water in empty stomach. Drink 1 litre of normal water within a time-span of 10 minutes by taking 3 gulps each time. Avoid drinking water ½ an hour before meal and 1 hour post meal. In case of necessity, one may take 1-2 gulps of water. At night, take a cup of lukewarm water before going to bed. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water every day is vital. 

 

5. Alkalize enthusiastically – Body’s pH balance plays an important role in maintaining proper health. Alkalizing the body at set intervals throughout the day is the perfect way to achieve it. Begin by taking 1litre of water in the morning stored in copper container overnight. This has been recommended in Ayurvedic texts and confirmed by a research published in the Journal of Health, Population and Nutrition. The next stage of alkalizing is 1 hour post lunch where one can either have 1 lemon squeezed in a glass of water or ½ tsp of baking soda mixed in 1 glass of water or ¼ tsp baking soda with juice of half a lemon mixed in a glass of water. The choice of this alkalizing drink depends on the individual’s preference. The final stage is at night just before going to bed, by taking ½  tsp of kalonji (black seeds) and 2 tsp of isabgol (psyllium husk) followed by a cup of lukewarm water. For taste you can add pure honey.
